Visiting the Show

This is an event for all ages for those interested in art, wood, wood art, woodturning and wood craft.

Entry fee is $5 and free for under 18s.

The event is wheelchair accessible.

Tea, coffee, biscuits and sandwiches will be available to purchase.

 What's on this year:

Exhibition of some of the finest wood turned art from around Australia and New Zealand many of which will be for sale. 

Have the opportunity to choose your favourite exhibit at the show and vote for The Peoples Choice Award.  This award can be given to any exhibit from Student through to the Open entries.  All votes to this award will be entered into a draw to win a prize.

Meet members of the International Wood Collectors Society, a non-profit Society devoted to distributing information on collecting wood, identifying and naming wood specimens, and using wood in creative crafts.

See a display of a large number of wood species from around the world and delve further in their wood grains by studying different wood samples under a microscope.  A unique opportunity to understand  the make up on different woods.  

Interested in taking up woodturning or other wood crafts as a hobby??  Then why not visit the Council of Woodwork Clubs and Clubs area at the show to find where your nearest club is and find out how to join a group.  You don't need any woodworking experience to join a club -- you just need enthusiasm and a desire to learn.  Woodworking clubs are a great way to meet like minded people.  Clubs are open to both men and women so why not sit down with them and have a chat at the show.
